The Algarve has once again been recognised as Europe's Best Beach Destination, and while we're delighted to see this beautiful region receive another international award, we can't honestly say we're surprised.

For anyone who has spent time here, the recognition feels well deserved. Golden cliffs, crystal-clear waters, hidden coves, and miles of stunning coastline make the Algarve one of Europe's most spectacular seaside destinations.

But after welcoming guests to Carvoeiro for more than 20 years, we've learned something important.

The beaches may inspire people to visit for the first time, but they're rarely the only reason they return.
