When to Go
The best time to go to Praia dos Careanos is in spring and early autumn, when the weather is mild and it's not so crowded. Summer can be crowded, but sea temperatures are at their warmest for swimming. Late fall and spring are better for more laid-back beachcombing that doesn't compete with peak travel months. It’s warm and breezy enough to make a day at the beach ideal. But if you love a bustling vibe and balmy seas, summer is the best time, even though many more tourists will be present.
